Most outdoor kitchens are built-in kitchens. However, we also offer the option of a kitchen on wheels. This makes it possible to move your kitchen whenever you want. Take contact at for more information on this.

Wood should be treated regularly with an appropriate oil or stain, depending on the type of wood. Clean the wood with mild soap and water, and avoid prolonged wetness or mold by keeping the kitchen dry when not in use. It is a good idea to maintain most countertops as well. We work primarily with Canadian Red Cedar wood and with European Oak wood. These types of wood are durable and ensure long life of outdoor kitchens. So we can heartily recommend choosing these two types of wood. All our work is custom made and so of course we can use exactly the type of wood you love.

Yes, you can. We work with a number of fixed top brands that we recommend but all our kitchens are custom made. That means you can specify exactly what you desire: in this case, what appliance you want to integrate. And we will then make an appropriate recess in the design.

Houtdoor works with renowned brands such as Napoleon Grills, Boretti, ALFA Forni and Big Green Egg for barbecues and ovens. For sinks and faucets, they use products from Lorreine, Quooker and Tapwell, among others.

It depends on the makeup of your kitchen. Most kitchens require a water and electricity and/or gas connection. But there are also off-grid variations that are possible. Everything is customized. Take contact with us to talk through your idea.

Provide adequate ventilation to prevent smoke accumulation and cook safely. If you place your kitchen under a canopy, an exhaust hood is necessary. With an open-air setup, this is usually not necessary because the air can circulate on its own.
